Senso Design Shanghai's Award-Winning "Little Bear" Kids Straw Water Bottle

Innovative Design Inspired by Nature, Engineered for Safety

The inspiration for the "Little Bear" water bottle came from nature itself. The shape of the bottle, reminiscent of a bear, incorporates a clear and rounded design language, creating a comfortable user experience. The design team, consisting of Billy Deng, Ludy Lu, and Young Zou, aimed to create a product that would be both functional and appealing to children.

What sets the "Little Bear" apart from other water bottles is its unique properties. The design includes a button that prevents water from splashing when the bottle is opened. Initially, upon pressing the button, the pressure within the cup is released instantly, preventing any water from splashing. The button can then be released, allowing the lid of the cup to open completely. This innovative feature ensures safety and convenience for the user.

The "Little Bear" water bottle is made from tritan, PP, and silica gel, with a gravitational ball at the bottom of the straw made from 304 stainless steel and silica gel. The bottle is available in two sizes: a 300mL version with dimensions of 134mm x 80mm x 140mm and a 450mL version measuring 82mm x 82mm x 183mm. All parts of the water bottle are easily disassembled, allowing each component to be cleaned and sterilized, not just the body.

The design process for the "Little Bear" began in August 2016 in Shanghai and was completed in March 2017. The team faced challenges during the trial stage of the product, particularly with the leakage of the vent hole. However, they successfully reformed the structure of the water cup to address this issue. The design is protected under patent number 201720334842.X.

The "Little Bear" kids straw water bottle is a testament to Senso Design Shanghai Co. Ltd.'s commitment to creating innovative, safe, and aesthetically pleasing products.
